My name is Buddhadev Saha. I am 45 years old and live with my father in Kolkata. My father was diagnosed with pneumonia and total lung collapse. He was put on Ryles Tube for feeding and antibiotics through IV and finally released into Avante Home Care. It was a terrifying experience for the whole family, as not much was known to us. I was told about Avante Home Care by the hospital itself, as they had some great things to say about them. We subscribed to their End of Life Care. The clinical team from Avante came to supervise my father's case at home. They gave us a dedicated care manager to address all our needs, and they took such good care of me and my father. We were so happy with their care that we insisted on taking on a 24-hour nursing staff to manage my father's medication and food. Susmita, along with another caregiver, took wonderful care of my father at home. However, my dad's pneumonia worsened, as the lungs had already collapsed, and he was living on borrowed time. We were happy to have enrolled Avante’s services and gave him good end-of-life care. He passed away peacefully to the next world; however, the team from Avante stood by me even till the funeral services. That is something missing in caregivers and never heard of.
